Amazing teacher, very focused and encouraging!

Teacher Georgette is always so welcoming and conversations flow naturally and comfortably! I’m learning how to use Tagalog to speak about topics that relate to everyday events.

I really appreciate how Teacher Georgette’s lessons make space for both free-conversation practice and more structured lessons on grammar!

All great things must eventually come to an end. Today was my last lesson with one of my favorite Tagalog teachers. It has been an absolute pleasure taking over 60 1-hour lessons with Georgette in just over a span of a year. It’s rare for me to spend a lof of time and energy with anyone for a long period of time but it was definitely time well spent. Georgette was my first actual formal teacher in the language and she has done a phenomenal job teaching me the fundamentals and getting a lot of practice whether it be writing in a journal for reviewing each lesson, memorizing countless irregular verbs, and most important of all having wonderful conversations filled with memorable stories about our lives, the goals we’re pursuing, the cultures we grew up in, and so much more! Taking her lessons without a doubt has helped me become confident in Tagalog. I am very blessed to have her as my teacher and a wonderful friend. Marami maraming salamat Teacher Georgette. Ikaw ang the best!
