It was a good speaking practice

Another class where I got to practice speaking. It was very challenging since the topics I wanted to talk about were more nuanced and complicated. The classes are going in a direction I like for sure.

We had a really good chat, where I could practice conversation a lot. I also learned a lot of new words.

I printed out the lyrics of some songs I listen to and studied them. We reviewed them together and I asked my questions. It was great.

He was really tolerant when I didn’t remember things from the past lessons. In this lesson, I developed a better understanding of different language structures (grammar, but also with words like samchon/sachon). It was really helpful again

Hyeonggyu seonsaengnim is really helpful for improving my Korean skills. He is always well prepared but at the same time open to talk about new questions I have. We always do some talking at the start of a lesson since this is something I greatly enjoy and profit from. This helps me with vocabulary and language structures that I need for talking about topics that are relevant for me. The topics go much deeper than simple small talk. Then we review my diary entries and homework from the last week (also very helpful), he explains things again and in more detail if I need more help. And finally we switch to his materials and he teaches me the agreed upon topics. I love how much he gives me the opportunity to speak myself (I think this ist THE way to learn a language), and how attentive and helpful he is when correcting me or suggesting improvements (e.g. alternatives that would sound more natural). A great learning experience overall. 고마워요 선생님!
