Federica was prepared and kept going back to the exercise when my mind would wonder off. Very focused, asked if it was ok to correct me and then she corrected me in an effective manner. Obviously she has experience teaching and I felt it was the money well spent.

During this and last week's lessons, the italki connection broke up many times. it seems to be a problem with italki.

We engage in open-ended conversation. Unfortunately, the latter part of the lesson had connection problems. I do not know where the problems lay. We may try another formate for the next lesson.

We had interesting discussions about Japanese dolls, music, and cremation.

With Federica we focus on conversation, which is free-flowing. While it is casual, she corrects grammar and vocabulary along the way. Apart from casual conversation, each lesson has had a focus on a song or poem, offering new vocabulary and making for engaging conversation.
