I've learned german with Christian for over a year and a half now. During this time he helped me quickly improve my language skills from about a A2 level to being able to pass the Goethe Zertifikat C1 examination with a great score, which I did last february. This, considering that I started my german-learning journey ar age 26, that I've been working as a full time doctor ever since and that I've never been or lived in Germany, are exceptional results, which I could have never achieved without Christian's lessons. I would recommend Christian as a German tutor to anyone. You can expect interactive lessons, during which you can talk a lot both about everyday and Fach- test oriented topics. He will also give you great materials to study with, can help you correct your CV- application letters, and is above all a great person. Vielen Dank Christian!

Up to now I had 12 lessons with Christian. Thanks to him, I improved my overall knowledge of German and learnt a lot of new vocabulary. In particular, Christian made me talk a lot and that was really important to improve my self confidence with this difficult and rich language that German is. He was very patient with me, repeating the same thing 1000 times to let me understand completely the meaning of a word or a sentence. In particular, in order to help me more, he used many time Italian, my native language. That was really kind of him. Finally, Christian has a remarkable knowledge of history and culture in general, so that we had always a lot to talk about. In conclusion, thank you for everything Christian. These five stars are fully deserved.

Christian will reinforce the areas you need to focus on the most until he is confident you know them. Not a typical "follow the text book" type of package, much more organic and fluid, changing and moving the way he assesses your needs are headed.

After living in Switzerland for some years, and never really being able to pick up German very well, I started classes with Christian. In under a year, I was able to greatly improve my German and become a more confident speaker. Speaking German in public was always a bit daunting for me, but Christian helped me overcome this and now I'm much more confident with it. Learning German in Switzerland was definitely a challenge, I've done a few different courses in the past but they never worked very well for me. The classes are always very focused on me, and help me improve quickly. As a side note also, the internet connection and call quality is always great. Thanks Christian!

Christian has been my German mentor and coach now for almost six years. He was my first iTalki instructor and I was so lucky to have found him. He provides me with a wide variety of German language materials, both written and spoken, as well as a variety of tools to facilitate my learning. One of my favorite tools is Redensarten-Index, which is a great resource for learning German fixed expressions. Another is a Firefox dictionary plug-in, that I use when reading German text. During our iTalki sessions, we discuss the materials I've studied since our last session, with Christian gently correcting my vocabulary, grammar and useage errors. Christian is a great German tutor. He loves the language and is a natural teacher.
