Agnes Mwaniki

Agnes is really great as a tutor. She's patient and she took my goals into consideration for that and created a custom plan for me! We are making great progress and it's due to her attentiveness to the needs of the student. Thank you :)

Another great Swahili lesson!! She provided an audio recording in Swahili along with the caption. We went over it today in class, and it was so helpful. Finding comprehensible input like this in Swahili can be difficult. It was nice to have quality audio that I can save and practice. She answered all my questions and helped me learn grammar and vocabulary in context. Agnes’ lessons help me grasp concepts quickly and o feel more comfortable with the language every time. I was so pleased that I am scheduling a second Swahili lesson this week in addition to my upcoming Gĩkũyũ lesson. 10/10!!

I really appreciate Aggie’s ability to bounce between prepared lessons and answering my questions on the spot. She gives thoughtful feedback and makes sure I’m clear on what we went over before moving on. I learn so much from her!

I had such a great trial lesson with Agnes! She’s super friendly and made me feel comfortable right from the start. She explained everything really clearly and kept the lesson relaxed and engaging. I didn’t feel nervous speaking at all, which is rare for me. I’ve already booked more lessons and I’m really looking forward to them. If you’re thinking of learning Swahili, I’d definitely recommend her. 5 stars all around!!!

Kikuyu can be quite difficult, but Aggie takes her time making sure I’m getting the hang of things in my own time. I move slowly; it took me most of today’s lesson to read a page and a half of a children’s book. But she supplied the reading knowing it would help, and she patiently worked me through each sentence and word until I could clearly read it in kikuyu and understand their meanings. I really appreciate her!!

I have enjoyed my classes with Aggie over the last three months. I am not the best Swahili student, but I have loved learning about Kenya and the culture. I am even more enthusiastic to visit Kenya having a deeper understanding of the history and the people.
