Anthony Bully 🇫🇷🥐

Deciding to work with Anthony was a turning point in my language journey. I have worked with a number of tutors, each with their strengths, but with Anthony I felt at home and confident from the very first lesson. I had previously achieved an acceptable college-level (B1-ish) of French but then I neglected it for 10 years. Anthony provided - and continues to provide - a safe and completely judgement-free environment; he is patient and provides gentle correction or suggestions on how to rephrase incorrect / awkward constructions. He always gives plenty of time when I’m struggling to phrase something (I often pause for a while to think, hopefully that’s relatable…). Crucially, he has an absolutely perfect sense of when to jump in and rescue me because I just can’t find the right word or finish the sentence. His demeanor is calm, encouraging, and reassuring - basically the ideal mentor for something as error-prone as learning a new language! I honestly cannot recommend Anthony enough!

Anthony est un super prof. Je suis toujours à l'aise avec lui, donc je parle sans apprehension. Merci mille fois Anthony. J'aime bien les leçons et j'apprends beaucoup. Je ne pense pas qu'il puisse être meilleur. Voilà Anthony , je viens d'utiliser le subjunctive!

J suis tres satisfait des lecons avec Anthony. L'ambiance des lecons est tres detendue et securisante. Converser requlierement avec un bon professeur francophone m'aide vraiment a developper mes competences et ma confiance en cette belle langue. Je recommande Anthony a tous ceux qui souhaitent ameliorer leur francais.

Anthony is a great teacher who will meet your own capability then challenge you to push past your comfort zone so that your skills improve naturally. He keeps a good mix of from-the-book exercises for structure, while building off of those exercises to keep them interesting! I’ve grown much more comfortable with my own speaking working with him, which was our main goal of our lessons.

Very nice guy, speaks at a good pace and was able to not make me feel stupid for being mediocre at french ahha. Looking forward to pushing on!

Anthony is an awesome French tutor. From the very first session, he has created an environment where I feel completely comfortable making mistakes and speaking freely. That comfort has made a huge difference! My confidence speaking French has grown immensely, and I feel much more at ease while speaking. His approach is patient, clear, and encouraging. He provides gentle correction often and suggests multiple ways to phrase sentences, which really helps expand my language toolkit. Having multiple ways to say things is ALWAYS useful. I genuinely enjoy our sessions and have already booked more so I can continue learning with him. Highly, highly recommend Anthony for anyone who wants to develop their French in a supportive, instructive, and constructive environment!
