I’ve a been a regular student of Tagalog with Gina . The more classes I take , the more I get amazed at Gina’s teaching skills .
The classes are well structured , interactive and fun ! Gina is warm and encouraging and creates a safe environment to practice.
She makes each lesson engaging with real life phrases and lots of cultural references.
I’m totally in love with the Filipino culture and Gina makes it so easy to embrace the language learning process.
If you’re someone who wants to learn Tagalog or maybe visit the Philippines ,I highly recommend that you learn Tagalog from Gina . It will be a rewarding experience!

I really appreciate how Gina is active about expanding my Tagalog vocabulary. It feels great to feel like I'm consistently 'leveling up' rather getting stuck with the same beginner materials aka 'tutorial hell'. Again, my Tagalog knowledge is steadily refining and I'm super thankful for that!

A wonderful lesson with Gina as we discussed recent ongoing events in the Philippines since it is election season over there. Aside from that we were able to have a really pleasant discussion about Mother's Day and my family. She always asks interesting questions so that I can engage proactively in our conversation. In addition despite having some technical issues at the beginning of our lesson, she was very understanding and extended our lesson time. I am very happy to have Gina as one of my Tagalolg teachers here on italki.

Gina is a very caring and patient teacher, and she pays attention to what I want to learn. She's always happy to make great new original learning materials, and tailor her lesson style and topics from my requests. Her personality is warm and gentle and she's open to chatting about local lifestyle too. She helps me with pronunciation and language structure using practical sample sentences, which also impart some Philippines customs in our lesson.

Great lesson with Gina! We continued learning about possessive pronouns. We made sentences from the examples in Gina's document. Gina always is happy to cheer me on when I come up with a good sentence or remember a tricky word!

Great lesson with Gina! We started learning about possessive pronouns. Gina and I went back and forth making example sentences using these pronouns. Gina also explained casual vs. formal use of the possessive pronouns. Gina was also very good-natured about the mistakes I made, and she said that making mistakes helps us learn..which I thought was very encouraging!
