👋Hi and welcome! My name is Matthea, I am 26 years old and I live in beautiful Uganda. I was born and raised in the Netherlands, I lived in a town called Dordrecht for 23 years. Dutch is my mother tongue, but I am also fluent in English since I speak English most of the time nowadays. I love visiting other countries, being creative (also digitally) and cooking!
Hoi en welkom! Mijn naam is Matthea, ik ben 26 jaar en ik woon in het mooie Uganda. Ik ben geboren en getogen in Nederland, ik heb 23 jaar in Dordrecht gewoond. 🎓I have a degree in Primary Education and I was a primary school teacher (mostly ages 10/11) in the Netherlands for a few years. After that, I moved to Uganda to homeschool some children. I also gave them lessons in Dutch as a second language. Since I love to be able to focus on one person, adapt to their needs and create lessons for them, I am excited to start teaching online.
Ik heb een pabo diploma (basisonderwijs) en ik ben een aantal jaar juf geweest in Nederland (vooral groep 7). Daarna ben ik naar Uganda verhuisd om een aantal kinderen thuisonderwijs te geven. Ik heb hen ook lessen Nederlands als tweede taal gegeven.Mis clases y método de enseñanza
💻 I love to prepare my lessons well and use variety, so it's stays interesting. I will adapt to what you want to focus on and together we will make a plan for you. I will keep repeating what we have learned, so it's easier for you to remember.

I have been having regular classes with Matthea now for almost two months. She is very professional, diligent, and has a great personality. Thanks to her, I can feel my Dutch getting better and better. I highly recommend Matthea to those seeking a more focused and personalized studying experience.

Matthea has been a fantastic Dutch docent for me. She’s super organized, and prepares really good materials for us to work through for each lesson. She was previously a primary school teacher, and it’s really obvious that she has learned how to teach and explain things well. She’s kind and patient.

I have had several lessons now with Matthea and each lesson has been excellent and I am learning so much. She is an excellent teacher and I walk away after each lesson with new grammar and new vocabulary
