Hi! My name is Jakob, and I'm a Danish and English teacher living in Paris. I teach my students by having fun with them, engaging them in the everyday conversations they can actually use and making the language feel comfortable and exciting. I grew up on a small island in the south of Denmark, and moved around the country a lot before finally leaving it. One benefit of moving around like this is how many people have commented on my incredibly neutral dialect. I'd love to pass that on to you!Mostrar traducción

I have been teaching English and Danish for 3 and 2 years respectively.
I teach by seeking out the specific goals and interests of my students, so they get to talk about all the things that matter the most to them. A common dogma between language teachers is to harshly demand that only the target language be spoken, and while practice is key, my personal experience show that clarification questions in a more comfortable tongue can go a long way in terms of actual understanding of the subject.Mis clases y método de enseñanza

I started taking lessons with this teacher when my Danish level was around A2, and I only had 10 days and 10 lessons left before my PD3 exam. Thanks to his help, I managed to get a grade 7, which I’m really proud of!
He is extremely kind and patient. No matter how many mistakes I made, he never laughed or made me feel bad — instead, he calmly corrected me every time and helped me improve. His supportive attitude made me feel comfortable and more confident during every lesson.
Danish pronunciation has always been very difficult for me, but he took the time to explain exactly how to say each word and helped me understand the pronunciation step by step.
The lessons were intense but well-structured, and I always felt that he was fully committed to helping me succeed. I highly recommend him to anyone preparing for the PD3 exam or looking to improve their Danish in a friendly and supportive environment.

Jacob er en fantastisk lærer – han er tålmodig og har en fed energi, så det er altid sjovt at have en time med ham :)
Jeg har stor respekt for, hvor godt han forbereder sig til undervisningen – han laver interessante præsentationer om forskellige emner, ofte med links til videoer og artikler online, og det synes jeg er spændende.
I stedet for bare at pege mine fejl ud, får han mig til at tænke over, hvordan man siger noget korrekt, og det hjælper mig med at huske det bedre på længere sigt.
Jeg kan varmt anbefale ham!

Jakob er en fantastisk lærer. Han er altid forberedt med en plan og materialer. Jeg kan godt lide at vi altid har en afslappet snak i starten og i dag havde vi et lille rollespil der var rigtigt sjovt. Jeg glæder mig til det næste.
