Mykyta Rubanov

I would like to share my positive experience with Mykyta as a Latin teacher. Although he is still early in his teaching career, Mykyta demonstrates impressive fluency in Latin and a deep understanding of the language's historical and cultural background. He is an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher who successfully passes on his passion for Latin to his students. One of his greatest strengths is his ability to adapt his lessons to suit the interests and needs of each individual learner. This makes his lessons both engaging and educational for anyone interested in learning Latin. I highly recommend Mykyta to anyone seeking a knowledgeable and inspiring Latin teacher.

We had our first class. Already Mykyta has pointed out areas where I need improvement. The instructor was very accommodating. I can't wait until the next class.

I highly recommend my magister Nicetas, he didn't start teaching in italki for long, but he seems to be a born teacher, he explains clearly, in pure and understandable ( also elegante ) latin, so that even you are struggling at oral latin you can make progress rapidly by listening and repeat what he teached you, he also prepare for you thoughtfully exercises so you can gain a better understanding of what you've learned, he will be the one that leads you step by step into the beauty of the dreamed language, and to explore the long river of history of law and order, magnificence and glory someday.

I worked one-on-one with Nicetas from April through July in preparation for the intermediate Latin course at the Accademia Vivarium Novum in Rome. When we began, I had no prior knowledge of Latin. Over the course of three months, through daily sessions (eventually two 1.5-hour sessions each day, including a few on weekends), we progressed through the first twenty chapters of Familia Romana. I can now read, write, speak, and think in Latin, and feel prepared to begin my studies at the Academy. Nicetas is a knowledgeable teacher and a patient guide. He knew exactly when to push me, when to slow down, and how to build confidence while maintaining rigor. If I was stuck, he helped me find the answer myself. He was also generous with his time when it came to study advice and correcting homework. I recommend Nicetas without reservation to anyone who is serious about learning Latin. I’m immensely grateful for all the effort he has put into our studies, and I look forward to continuing.
