Sam

Sam is a great teacher who keeps the lessons fun while taking the learning aspect seriously. He explains not just how things work but why, which really helps me with understanding things. Not being a native speaker further reinforces this, as he understands the perspective of the student much more for it. Notably, he will always give you things to talk about when, or while, you're not able to come up with anything yourself (yet). I can feel my own improvement and it doesn't feel like a chore to take these lessons at all, which is what keeps me here. Highly recommend.

I've been taking lessons with Sam for about 3 months, he's helped me to make substantial progress in my Japanese, and I always look forwards to my lessons with him. He's helped me correct many bad habits I had picked up, and explains concepts in an easy to understand way, drawing on his experience both as a teacher and a language learner.
