I am a native English speaker from the United States with a TESOL certification and academic degrees in law, economics, and international affairs. Yo como profesor
I have been teaching English since 2006. My first teaching experience was as a volunteer in Thailand, where I supported refugees in developing their English skills to prepare for resettlement. After returning to the United States, I continued this work by volunteering with a local literacy organization, offering one-on-one instruction to refugees and other immigrants. I also spent several years volunteering online with a nonprofit that supports women professionals in developing countries, helping them strengthen their English for career advancement. These experiences have shaped my student-centered approach and deepened my commitment to making language learning a pathway to opportunity.Mis clases y método de enseñanza
I offer reading and conversation courses tailored to different proficiency levels:
Facilitated Reading: Designed for students who enjoy reading aloud and working with graded texts suited to their level. Lessons include guided reading and vocabulary support.
Materials are provided.
Independent Reading: Ideal for advanced students who prefer to read on their own and engage in in-depth discussion during lessons.
Students select and acquire their own reading materials.
