Hello there!
I studied psychology for 4 years in Melbourne and spent a few years working with children that have autism and developmental delay. However I really enjoy travelling, so I decided to take a break from my studies in the field, and move abroad to Greece so that I can be immersed in the Greek culture of my parents and travel to neighbouring countries in Europe.
Some of my other hobbies include cooking; watching movies; drawing; reading and hiking. I love meeting new people; trying new foods and going out to nature.Mostrar traducción

I do not have formal training as a teacher, but I was a behavioural therapist for over 5 years which did involve teaching and maintaining new skills for young children with autism and developmental delay.
Drawing on my experience working in this setting, I am relaxed and like to create an engaging and fun learning environment; so that we can both enjoy the process. I am super friendly and patient, and can adapt to your learning style!Mis clases y método de enseñanza
I offer an easy-going and friendly space to practice informal conversation together in Greek or in English; talking about any topics that we mutually find interesting. This way we can get to know one another in a relaxed style, whilst also exercising your language abilities!
Depending on your particular learning needs, we can absolutely adapt our lessons together. For instance I could help you prepare for any tests you might have coming up, or going over any vocabulary that you might be struggling with. Perhaps you are planning a trip and want to be able to say the basics to get by! I am open to any suggestions you might have.Formación

My first lesson with Marianna was very nice. She was very kind to postpone the lesson upon my request because of a work issue and we held the class a few hours after that. She was very forthcoming and spoke clearly and slowly and if ever she spoke too fast she was happy to repeat what she said after I told her that I didn't understand everything that well.
The conversation with her was never boring and we laughed quite a bit.
Also when discussing what we could do in the upcoming classes she was happy to take in my ideas and incorporate them.
I am very happy with my first class with her and am looking forward to having an other class with her soon.

Marianna is an amazing teacher. She is always energetic and positive. The time spent in class with her really flies by. Every time, an hour has passed before I even realize it. She is very patient. When I try to organize my language, she will wait for me patiently. If I have any uncertain words or pronunciations, she will also communicate with me directly to tell me. At first, I always felt that I would have difficulty communicating with native English speakers, but now I really look forward to every class with her. I'm no longer afraid to speak English. At the same time, her accent and pronunciation are very clear, so there is no need to worry at all that you won't understand if your foundation is not good. Even if you are an introverted person who is afraid of embarrassment, it doesn't matter. Because she will patiently guide you to speak more, express yourself more or describe yourself. In short, learning from her is really a very happy thing!
