I have had 22 lessons (and counting) with Jean-Baptiste and he is a wonderful French teacher. He brings topics to each lesson and keeps our conversations flowing easily. I never feel judged or apprehensive to speak, Jean-Baptiste is always supportive. He will typically correct any obvious mistakes that I make, such as wrong gender or wrong word, but he doesn't nit-pick, which I appreciate. He also types his corrections into the chat box so I have them for future reference. We have a shared passion for cinema, so this topic provides endless opportunities for discussion. We also both enjoy history, languages, and other cultures, meaning that our sessions are never lacking for things to talk about. I would unreservedly recommend Jean-Baptiste to anyone looking to improve their spoken French. He is reliable, gentle, caring, and a genuinely nice guy.

He's patient and encouraging, especially as I don't retain things as easily as I did when I was younger. He tracks my mistakes during the lesson so I can review them later, and offers gentle corrections without breaking the flow of conversation. He has a great sense of humor that makes every session genuinely fun. And honestly, being able to make a joke in French and get a real laugh out of him feels like one of my biggest markers of progress.
