I am training for a specific professional objective and I'm really happy that Lauren is able to adapt our lessons to my precise needs. She's good at finding ways to make me to speak spontaneously and defend my ideas. She gives detailed feedback on my errors so I understand the grammar and rules that I need to know, she suggests alternate words to elevate my language and avoid unintended meanings, and she's always enthusiastic and patient. Very happy I found her and looking forward to continuing our lessons together.

I had a good first lesson with Lauren. I was a bit anxious since I wasn't sure if my French was still good enough for a conversational lesson but we made it work, even if I had to dumb down my speech sometimes because I just didn't know the more normal way of saying it anymore. I could notice very easily - especially at the beginning - that Lauren made an effort to speak more clearly and slowly than you would normally hear French people speak, so that shows my level (or at least reported level, since this was the first lesson) was very well taken into account by her. Her personality was quite bubbly and open, so it was not very difficult to have a natural conversation. If I had to think of how to say something she would let me and not interrupt, and if I asked she would of course say the word. In the end we discussed the learning plan. It seemed like a conducive environment to improving my spoken French.

Lauren is very friendly and puts you at ease. She guides you through the conversation and provides detailed notes of any corrections after. Really recommend!

I'm still a beginner in French, so it takes me some time to express myself, but Lauren is always so patient, kind, and easy to talk to! She makes me feel comfortable speaking French, even when I struggle to find the right words. After every lesson, she sends me a list of useful expressions that I couldn't think of or use during our conversation, which is really helpful for reviewing and improving my French.
