Nikola Havránková

To be honest, I am quite disappointed with Nikola. I only had two lessons with her – the first was a single trial lesson I bought to see if we were a good match, and the second was part of a package I purchased. After just that first package lesson, she suddenly informed me that she was going to increase her prices from roughly €18 to €26 — a 44% increase. I told her that I intended to study with her long-term if she turned out to be a good fit, but she wouldn’t take my concerns into consideration. Now, I actually feel quite deceived by her — as if she had lured me in and then told me I had no choice but to accept the price increase. I’m a teacher myself, and I would never do something like this to any student. I find this kind of attitude highly unprofessional. With regard to her teaching style, I can’t really judge much, as I only had two lessons. It did seem, however, that she prepared for them. She’s friendly and attentive, but her materials aren’t very well developed...

Had a wonderful first lesson with Nikola! We talked about my specific learning goals focused on vocabulary and speaking and it was really impressive how she was hearing my level and goals for the first time and was able to immediately adapt her lesson to suit my needs. I learned so much and felt like every minute was well-used. Looking forward to the next lesson!

Nikola is an excellent teacher. She uses multiple methods for teaching language including, games, activities, speaking, and listening. Nikola plans the lessons according to my needs. Highly recommend Nikola as your teacher.

Učitelka Nikola is an excellent teacher who uses various methods to make the student talk and immediately gives feedback. She writes down new words without me having to ask her, she does it instinctively whenever she sees a puzzled expression on my face. I would easily and without any doubt recommend her to anyone who wishes to learn Czech in an efficient way and I am very much looking forward to acquiring new knowledge of Czech with her.
