Hi! I’m Minho, a university student in California. I moved from Korea when I was 10, but I visit almost every year, which helped me keep up my Korean naturally. I decided to start teaching on Italki after a great experience learning Japanese with my own teacher, who encouraged me to try teaching myself. I love concerts and traveling — I’m even heading to Japan soon for a 10-day concert trip 😎!

This is my first time teaching a language, but I’ve tutored many people during high school! I think it’s amazing that people can learn from anywhere through platforms like this, and I’m excited to gain new experiences :). As a Korean teacher, I’m grateful to stay connected with friends and family in Korea, which helps me keep up with natural language and trends. I can also read and write Korean, so feel free to choose anything you want to prioritize!

I’ll do my best to adapt to each student’s learning style, since everyone learns differently and the right approach makes studying both fun and motivating. I think it’s especially helpful to ask about Korean slang or nuances, since those are hard to learn from someone not connected to the culture (•¯ ∀ ¯•). Whether you want to study the alphabet, vocabulary, or even Korean society, don't worry, I can help you with almost everything!
