Helen is a wonderful teacher and I really enjoy learning with her! She takes so much time to customize the lessons around what I am interested in learning about and making custom slides for me. She also is quick to respond to any questions I have in between lessons. As an English speaker it is difficult for me to pronounce all the Chinese tones but she is very patient in teaching me how to learn each sound. She makes learning Chinese fun and I look forward to my lesson with her every week :)

Helen is one of the best teachers I have encountered on Italki as she really wants me to succeed in learning Chinese and is open to feedback on how the lessons best work for my style of learning. The classes are no-nonsense in nature which I need right now.

I've really enjoyed my lessons with Helen. I prefer learning with some structure but not too rigid, and allows for flexibility and she is able to provide that learning experience for me. Lessons feel well-planned/paced which makes it easy to follow along while also leaving room for questions and further explanations (if needed). She's a patient teacher and I never feel rushed. Highly recommend Helen!
