Hello! My name is Rosina, I am Estonian but I live in Carcassonne in the south of France. I enjoy both learning and teaching languages. Teaching Estonian is particularly fun: as it's such an unusual language to learn, it often attracts unusual and interesting people as students. I would love to get to know you and find out why you've decided to learn Estonian!
In addition to linguistics, I am interested in lots of other topics as well: history, politics, languages and cultures, music and art, but also statistics and biology. So I am sure that we will be able to find some common ground.

Enseñar siempre ha sido mi trabajo y mi afición favoritos. Me encanta desarrollar nuevos materiales y enfoques pedagógicos. En mi vida diaria, enseño principalmente estadística y bioinformática a científicos. Sin embargo, también me encanta enseñar idiomas y llevo dando clases particulares de estonio e inglés desde los 19 años. In 1-hour classes, at least half of the session is usually devoted to conversation in Estonian. For the rest of the class, we will focus on reading, writing, listening or grammar, depending on the student's needs. Conversation lessons are of course only for conversation all the way through.
We will rarely use material from text books. Rather, we will rather work with authentic materials, such as newspaper articles, song lyrics, extracts from books or different kinds of YouTube videos. This can sound scary if you're a beginner but with a teacher's help, it's not that bad! And it's much more interesting than a text book!Mi material didáctico

I had a very good first lesson with Rosina. We spoke Estonian from the beginning, and then obviously had to switch to English as we were discussing more advanced things such as my learning goals etc.
She allowed time for me to correct my mistakes verbally which I appreciated. She seemed also very knowledgeble, patient and pedagogical.
