I had a great second lesson with Filippo! Filippo has a true passion for film that really shines through, and his cinema-focused lessons are a great way to both learn more about film (especially Italian film) and also have a new and interesting topic to cover in each class. Filippo is very prepared for each lesson and even sends discussion questions in advance to offer an opportunity for additional writing practice or help prepare for discussion. He does a great job facilitating discussion during the lesson and provides a good balance of letting the conversation flow and giving feedback. Would definitely recommend, especially for intermediate/advanced learners who are looking for additional exposure to native materials/natural dialogue through film. Grazie mille!

Filippo is an excellent communicator and teacher, and extremely easy to understand. Although my spoken Italian is still very much at the Beginner stage, Filippo keeps the conversation flowing naturally by sharing his thoughts and experiences. He has a broad cultural knowledge which feeds into our discussion of each session's film. I enjoy the homework questions Filippos sets as they require me to engage more deeply with not only the various films' underlying themes but to discover new vocabulary and grammatical forms in which to express my answers, I highly recommend Filippo as a warm, engaged, intelligent teacher who has much to offer students at any level of their Italian language adventure.

Filippo is a fantastic teacher. I am really enjoying his new programs dedicated to discussing films. It is such a refreshing and more interesting way to learn a language. He is very patient and thoughtful and extremely generous with his time. A very high recommendation from me!

Filippo is a fantastic teacher , and I especially recommend him for those who feel stuck at an intermediate level, because he has discovered a great way to challenge students in a very enjoyable way through the arts. Vi consiglio fortemente di prenotare una lezione con Filippo. Sopratutto per chi sente bloccato Filippo sarebbe un’ottima scelta con il suo modo di insegnare e integrare le arte in ogni lezione.

Lessons with Filippo are super nice. He is calm and present all the time and corrects my mistakes. The film idea of lessons is really helpful, as I can learn new words and phrases and plus I get to know to new films! It’s perfect, I enjoy the lessons! :)
