Manami

My experience learning under Manami Sensei these past couple of weeks has been excellent. Her well-paced instruction and consistent use of interactive pair work has been incredibly beneficial. I feel I've made significant progress and learned a substantial amount in this short time.

I've been studying under Sensei for the past two years, and I can say that my Japanese ability has improved by leaps and bounds. More specifically, you will get lots of speaking practice alongside reviewing material in class (reading and grammer practice) and a ton of writing practice outside of class as homework. Essentially her lessons cover all the bases you need (outside of Kanji studying which you may need to do in your own time) to become proficient in Japanese! I would definitely recommend Sensei to anyone that is genuinely looking to study Japanese and become proficient in the language!

Challenging lesson today especially at 8 am my brain doesn't want to work yet but thanks to the guidance of sensei, I don't feel pressured nor stressed as she guides me through the lesson content with a lot of patience and professionalism. So, I can still enjoy my Japanese journey while learning a lot !

Manami has consistently provided a quality learning experience. She seeks to understand your ability, and caters the lessons accordingly. She puts a focus on real-world situations through conversational lessons, and is happy to provide homework to reinforce learnings. I’d highly recommend trying Manami for your Japanese learning journey!

After completing a package of ten lessons with Manami sensei, I still cannot believe how lucky I am to be learning Japanese with a teacher who is truly the best match for me. Her classes are dynamic, well structured, and always intellectually stimulating. She prepares clear materials and meaningful homework that reinforce everything we cover in class. I usually dislike doing homework because I already have a lot from other language courses, and it can feel overwhelming, but sensei gives tasks that are genuinely useful. They help me practice writing, and the vocabulary stays in my memory much more easily. I have just bought another package because I do not want to study with anyone else. A truly exceptional teacher. (I can say that after completing 2000 hours on the platform studying other languages and doing trial lessons to find this gem ^^)

We started Chapter 3 today and focused on verb practice. She prepared a personalised vocabulary list in advance, which was very helpful. Even though I struggle to memorise words from lists, she was incredibly patient and understanding. Instead of getting frustrated, she guided me gently through the items I hadn’t mastered yet. I really appreciated her calm, supportive and structured teaching style so it makes learning much more enjoyable while learning a lot.
