I have acquired an American accent, a Cambridge C2 certificate (with a perfect score in the Use of English section) following a method I created myself, out of frustration becuase no one seemed to teach in a way that suited me. I barely learned English in highschool and the lessons were dull and boring.
I have always learned things my own way, I try to innovate and perfect whatever it is I like to do, that's why instead of going to the gym and lift I learned calisthenics and parkour, I taught myself how to play the guitar and the piano and that's exactly how I dealt with my university degree as well, which is environmental sciences.Mostrar traducción

I am a highly sophisticated English teacher that specializes in accent reduction and acquisition, specificially I teach the Californian accent. I make a point to make my lessons fun and interesting, because except for the first few lessons where I talk about sounds, learning does not need to be boring.Mis clases y método de enseñanza
I teach English in a very unusual way. that most people are not used to. I have perfected the process and I think the future of language learning will be more like my method than the conventional method you see in most classrooms or even on this platform, using boring books, not caring about pronunciation or accents and using vocabulary lists. Or the polar opposite, teachers that naively assume you will improve just by conversation alone.
My method will get you to learn the skill, you will know how to use English correctly. I will not force you to study the language itself though, you are not a linguist, you just need to use it correctly, like a native speaker does, like a baby learns itMi material didáctico

I love my lessons with Alfonso. He gives me structured lessons that focus on my goals. He has helped me figure out how to sound like a native speaker in class so that I feel comfortable and can speak without worry or apprehension. I really recommend Alfonso for English lessons

Alfonso has an amazing hearing which allows him to recognize every piece of my pronunciation that I could improve. He always prepares activities in advance mainly focused on accent reduction (but not only) so we don't waste any time during the class. His classes are intense, efficient and totally worth every second. I always feel he's doing his best to help me. After several classes I've already noticed that my English improved significantly, not only I'm more fluent but I also understand better.
