I had a great lesson with May. She is a patient teacher and the conversation and material we went over was appropriate for my level.

May is a great teacher. We mostly practiced conversation. We talked and took great notes for me to study on my own. She is very patient.

I really enjoyed my first hour-long conversation with JiaMei. She is a very warm and relaxed person. I found not difficulty whatsoever conversing with her. I was really happy to find her on iTalki, because there are very few teachers here who speak both Portuguese and Chinese. I am fairly familiar with both these cultures and languages. So even though I am a native American, with JiaMei, we can go to Portuguese if Chinese doesn't suffice. JiaMei has been living in Brazil for 8 years now. We were talking about how a person combines traits of two different cultures and I think she does this nicely, demonstrating the best of Chinese and Brazilian cultures. Surely, I will have more chats with JiaMei. It was a total pleasure to meet her today. 新年快乐！
