Manaka sensei knows the material very well. I'm taking her class to review the Genki textbook, and the lessons are going swimmingly! Definitely recommend her lessons especially if you feel rusty & want to brush up a bit.

Manaka-san is a FANTASTIC teacher! If you are looking for an excellent Japanese teacher to study search no further. She is VERY patient and KIND correcting all my mistakes and explains everything very clearly to me. She goes above and beyond when it comes to teaching! Very awesome teacher! Alot of fun! とても楽しかった!

I've been studying Japanese since the start of February this year and without Manaka Sensei i wouldn't be anywhere near where i am. I still have a very long way to go, but i honestly couldn't image having a better teacher. She is extremely knowledgeable, very patient and she adapts lessons to your needs. She is very organised, professional and polite. Thank you sooooo much Manaka Sensei!!! I look forward to many more lessons to come.

I would like to start by saying I have never left a review on Italki under 4 stars. I have taken almost 200 classes here and this class was the absolute worst class I have ever taken. I just cannot understand the good reviews. I clearly explained to the teacher at the beginning of the class both my level and my expected goals. The teacher completely ignored my wishes and she proceeded to teach in the manner she usually teaches without actually personalizing the class. She spent 50 minutes of our 60 minutes lesson going over the book we would be using which was information I could have also gathered alone. I gave her real time feedback and shared my disappointment with the class and finally the last 10 minutes she addressed what I had asked for: learning how to introduce myself. Sitting through her explanations felt very tiring & it was only made better by my second class after her class where the teacher was amazing & helped me w/ my goals within 30 minutes rather than 1 hr.
