Karen from Colombia

I've had quite a few lessons with and Karen would highly recommend her as a teacher. Our conversations are always engaging and interesting. She definitely spends a lot of time choosing articles adapted to the level and interest of her students. A portion of her class she spends reviewing various grammar points from the conversations which I find very useful. If you are looking to progress quickly with your spoken Spanish, her teaching method will help you immensely.

Karen is an absolutely wonderful teacher. She is super super smart and interesting, and always has interesting questions to ask. She’s also very patient with me when I make errors in grammar or vocabulary, kindly supporting me with suggestions and things to work on. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Want to learn Spanish quickly? Karen is the best prof ever! I went from complete beginner when I started with her classes to being able to work in spanish 5 months later, and since then I continue improving and enjoying! Her classes are fun but result oriented and efficacious. Most importantly, her classes are enjoyable because of her personality, which makes one longing and preparing for the next class, driving high speed learning Don't wait, book now !

My classes with Karen are always a joy. She provides an interesting article to read for each class, which is great exposure to native content that you wouldn't encounter otherwise. The topic is then weaved into conversation. During the class, she asks great follow-up questions that provide you with ample opportunity to express yourself in Spanish and exercise all the input you've acquired. At the end of each class, the errors committed are reviewed (first by the student) which again helps hone the language. Would recommend, especially if you have an interest in culture or politics!

Karen es una profesora bien cualificada, y realmente me encantan mis clases con ella. Me manda artículos sobre temas interesantes para leer y comentar en clase, y siempre me siento cómoda durante nuestras conversaciones. Nunca tengo miedo de hacerle preguntas ni de cometer errores, porque siempre está dispuesta a ayudarme con la gramática y estructura correcta, dándome ejemplos y explicaciones claras. Además, Karen es muy motivadora, y quiere que yo beneficie de cada clase. La recomiendo como una maestra amable, divertida, entusiasta y muy eficaz.

I look forward to my lesson with Karen every week. She chooses interesting topics to discuss, and asks a variety of open ended questions that keep me talking, which is exactly what I want from iTalki. Some are easy so the conversation flows, but every lesson there are at least a couple difficult questions that really challenge me. Always a pleasure!
