Ciao! I'm Annarita, a 35 years old Italian from Padua where I run my own business.
I have a Masters degree and +10 years of experience teaching Italian as a second language, Ancient Greek and Latin, in person and online.
I teach adults of all levels from all over the world, both in small groups and in private classes. Furthermore I'm an official CILS and CELI examiner and I prepare students for any kind of exam, including university, admission test, job interview and citizenship.

Yo como profesor
I graduated from Padua University in Classics in 2013 and started working in a private school in Padua as a teacher for Italian as a second language. I decided to specialize in the field of teaching languages and I had a Masters in Advanced Planning for teaching Italian to foreigners, plus a DILS-PG 2nd level certificate.
I worked as a contract teacher for the University for Foreigners of Perugia and then I taught in Milan at the European Institute of Design, where I prepared Chinese-speaking students for the admission exams for design courses.
I also taught business Italian to Decathlon and UniCredit bank employees.

You can be sure that classes will be personalized to accommodate your specific needs and goals. For scheduling the classes and to clear the details I would like to speak with you face-to-face
I establish a good connection with my students: I understand their needs & goals, I make them feel comfortable during classes.
When I teach online I usually work with Google Doc: this is an easy way to share a document we both can read, write on it and send web links. I share materials via Google Drive as well.
After every class you will receive a memo.

I have been taking lessons with Professor Saggion for two years now. This has been the best language learning experience that I’ve had. When I started, I had taken a semester of Italian at my old university, but I was very rusty and only able to say about three different things. Now, I’m able to speak Italian and express myself in the language in a way that has never happened for me before. I’m a PhD student studying opera so it’s very important to me to cover music as well, and she found books that would incorporate opera into our lessons. I really recommend this teacher if you want to reach your language learning goals in a professional and motivational environment!

Annarita is the best teacher ever! She is diligent, encouraging and responsive, with high standards and a joyful passion for Italian culture that makes every lesson a pleasure. After starting my lessons as a total beginner with her, I’m now ready to take the CILS B1 Cittadinanza exam. I can also speak with my Italian friends, enjoy Italian cinema and literature, and follow Italian current affairs, and I’m motivated to continue learning far beyond the exam. On our journey together, through her amazing teaching, Annarita has given me a thorough grounding in the language, but she has also given me so much more: the gift of being able to experience Italian culture to the full. I will strongly recommend Professor Saggion to who has the willingness of studying Latin or has the requirements on language study which may refer to ancient languages. In her classes, I can learn a lot deeply in Latin because we use the newest textbook. Besides, when I have some academic questions refer to Latin, she patiently explains and discusses with me.

I would recommend Prof.ssa Annarita to anyone - she is able to explain the finer points of Italian grammar in a way I can easily understand, provides a record of any words/grammar points/idioms that were new in a lesson so I can easily review them. Really friendly, and really patient. Thank you!
