Elena is a fantastic teacher! I have had both structured lessons and informal conversation with Elena. I feel very comfortable with her and not intimidated to speak. She is an experienced professional teacher, with a solid knowledge of grammar and teaching skills. Elena helps me improve my pronunciation. She has a sense of humor, is patient and is also interesting. She frequently explains common uses of words and phrases, not just formal language. She has provided interesting articles to discuss on Italian culture and the arts. At times, I write short "stories" about my life and experiences which Elena will correct with me. I have done homework assignments either with worksheets she provides or with a book I already have. Elena is extremely flexible to my learning goals. You will have fun and improve when studying Italian with Elena!

Elena is an excellent and highly-experienced language teacher: she is warm, encouraging, and explains points of grammar clearly. I always feel comfortable speaking in our conversation lessons. Elena is also an insightful and knowledgeable guide to Italian culture. I have learned much from her about Italian history, etiquette, customs, dialects, and language use; we have also discussed classic and contemporary films, poetry, art, and contemporary events. Our lessons are always a rich experience for me.

Elena is a brilliant teacher. She has a profound knowledge of the Italian language/culture and of language acquisition for all levels. Her methods are effective, organized and incredibly motivating. Lessons and study routines are personalized together for attainment, mistakes are embraced and quickly corrected and above all - Elena creates a focused environment where you feel truly immersed into a real Italian classroom. She is VERY patient, warm and an absolutely wonderful conversationalist! Highly educated in the Arts, Languages, Humanities and Italian culture. I couldn't ask for a better tutor in advancing my grammar, writing and speaking skills. Elena is a great teacher, very patient, always encourage you during the class. Her classes are never boring and during the lesson she tries to engage you into little conversation adapted to your level. So it is not just a boring static class.
