Hello! I'm Katherine and I live in the state of Virginia in the United States. I love languages, plants, music, singing, and reading. What's on my bookshelf? Psychology, self-help, languages, and Christian theology. What do I do in my free time? Biking, paddleboarding, jump-roping, spending time with friends and family, language learning, and trying to get better at the guitar. My favorite song? I listen to just about anything - rock, indie, rap, instrumental, musicals. I would love to get to know you, talk about your life and your interests! And improve your English along the way!

Yo como profesor

As your community tutor, I am here to help you practice your English! I know what it's like to learn a new language as I'm also learning Portuguese and Spanish. It's hard to put yourself out there and receive feedback and correction but ... don't be afraid to make mistakes because that's how we learn! I am extremely patient and pay attention to detail. I'm curious about how other people see and experience the world and am looking forward to learning more about you! Our conversations will be laid back and focused on your goals and what you want out of the lesson.

Mis clases y método de enseñanza

Our lessons will mainly involve conversation about your life, hobbies, family, work, etc. During class I will take thorough notes of areas needing improvement (grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation). Within 72 hours of each lesson, I will provide you with post-lesson feedback via google docs. Depending on which lesson you book, I will either provide "brief" or "in-depth" post-lesson feedback. I am more than happy to adjust my teaching style to better accommodate your learning preferences, just let me know how I can do so!
