まゆ先生 knows textbooks inside out and is very good at combining material with my own questions and skill level. ありがとうございました！

I have been consistently taking Japanese lessons from Mayu for over a year now and have always been impressed by her dedication to her students, kindness and commitment to teaching. I started learning Japanese as a means to apply my energies toward something productive, and without any specific language goal in mind (i.e. I wasn't planning on taking the JLPT exams, working or living in Japan). Throughout my learning journey with Mayu, she has been able to customize the lessons to fit my specific learning styles at each stage. Moving between more structured lessons following the progression of Japanese books like the Genki series, to more free flowing lessons focusing on specific grammar points which I am having trouble with. She always makes it a point to fit the lesson grammar and vocabulary to my level, and provides a transcript of each lesson that can be reviewed after class. Even when I hit a plateau she coached me through it and helped me to refocus, overcome and to keep going.
