Pinar Simsek

Today we discussed past tense. The topic was challenging but Pınar explained it well and provided plenty of examples and exercises. It was great to be able to fit reading, speaking and writing practice into the lesson. I was also glad to get my pronunciation corrected. Çok teşekkür ederim, Pınar!

Today I came to class with many questions! And, as usual, Pınar was welcoming to them and added an important cultural dimension to the answers. I am truly proud of my teacher that I talk about her with my own students and friends :)

I had wonderful speaking practice with Pınar tonight! Pınar raised various topics that were relevant to me in a natural fashion, as if it was a normal everyday conversation! Fantastik! This week we used transport, taksi, otobüs and dolmuş, to travel around Istanbul! Pınar made an effort to compose dialogues that addressed my specific needs which we rehearsed and worked on together. I also have to mention that I experienced some technical difficulties (from my side) - çok kötü bilgisayar! However, Pınar was so kind as to offer extra time. Greatly appreciated, Pınar :)
