Maude

My French skills have really improved with Maude. She provides videos in an interesting variety of topics, which stimulate conversation and allow me to expand my vocabulary. She asks plenty of questions, and explains my errors, making sure that I understand. She is patient, attentive and a pleasure to talk with.

Every lesson with Maude is great. We have covered a vast range of topics that are all really interesting from different lifestyles, to how exercise "should be" done and societal expectations we have for ourselves physically, to the development of social media platforms with their advantages and disadvantages. Feedback in class is also given in different forms depending on my needs, sometimes it's instant verbal corrections, sometimes it's written down and reviewed later so we can further explore any problems. Despite taking French lessons on italki since 2020, I was having trouble getting the C1 level test results I need to be able to study abroad for my masters. After only a few lessons with Maude, I finally got my C1 and will be heading to Paris this fall! Merci beaucoup !

Maude is a kind and supportive teacher. She provides videos tailored to my interests to guide our discussions, and she corrects my errors in a way that is helpful but not distracting. We have interesting conversations and I’ve felt my language skills improve!

I started taking conversational classes with Maude in April, and I’ve seen a significant improvement in my speaking skills since then. I really appreciate her gentle and patient approach, as well as her attention to detail. She always takes the time to type out any grammar mistakes I make, which is incredibly helpful for me. Maude is also very punctual, offers useful advice, and consistently encourages me in my learning journey. I highly recommend her classes!
