I just had my first official lesson with Julia, as part of the plan we drafted on our first meeting, and I have to say I am speechless. I've had several tutors in the past, and I have never seen an approach like Julia's. The lessons are well balanced, with conversation, grammar, practice, new vocabulary and the conversational exchange was effortless. I am very excited to continue and see more of her lessons. The material is presented in an organized, intuitive and pleasant way. Simply outstanding.

it's hard to believe how fast I've been progressing with Julia, it's like everything finally started clicking, 5 lessons in and I've already learned more then I did with my previous tutor in 6 months, my mouths actually a little sore from speaking in Russian the entire lesson. I highly recommend her, but makes sure to practice as much as possible in your free time there's so much to learn and her lessons are more in depth then the workbooks I've purchased trying to learn on my own. We practice a lot of the same words each lesson which has really helped drive them into my memory.

Because of Yulia, my Russian has reached a new heights. She is an incredible source of knowledge and encouragement!

I scheduled a diagnostic lesson with Julia and was abundantly pleased with the experience. She’s an excellent tutor. First, she gave me 100% of her attention for the duration of the lesson. That should always be the case on iTalki—but, unfortunately, not all tutors give the student their entire focus. Second, she slowed the tempo of her speech and spoke at a speed that allowed me to fully understand, and she spoke with perfect enunciation and crystal clarity. Third, she’s patient, kind, and encouraging. Fourth, she took the time to send me a document listing both mistakes I had made and ways to correct them. She also pointed out strengths and areas of needed improvement (which is what I had hoped for, given that I scheduled a diagnostic lesson). Unless a bolt of lightning strikes me, I’ll certainly be scheduling more lessons in the future. Julia is great!
