Hi there! My name is Darby, and I'm an English teacher from Dallas, Texas currently living in Boston, Massachusetts. I have been teaching English since 2018. Before moving to Boston, I lived in Costa Rica for three years where I taught at various language schools and learned Spanish.
I have a BA in Psychology with a minor in French language, and I am currently earning a Master's degree in International Higher Education. I am always happy to discuss topics in psychology, language, or education! Some of my other interests include traveling, hiking, reading, and cooking.Mostrar traducción

I am TEFL certified, and have worked with a wide range of levels. I've taught beginner, intermediate, and advanced classes to adults whose native languages were Spanish, Vietnamese, Mandarin, Arabic, Russian, Ukrainian, Portuguese, Farsi, and French.
I primarily work with adults but I have also taught children ages 8-16.Mis clases y método de enseñanza
The classes I have available now are conversation OR writing focused. In conversation classes, we will discuss whatever you feel like talking about that day. I will provide verbal and written error correction when appropriate. This is a great opportunity for cultural exchange!
For writing classes, please send me your written material a few days before the lesson so that I may review it. The lesson time will be used to discuss any grammar, punctuation, or stylistic suggestions.
Our classes together will be very open and relaxed. I want you to feel completely comfortable making mistakes and asking questions, because that's how we learn best!Mi material didáctico
