My name is Rosaria (Rosi) and I am a native Italian speaker from Catania in Sicily. The thing I love most about my homeland is its wonderful beaches. I also love to travel and to learn about foreign cultures.Mostrar traducción

I received my degree in languages and literature in 1986. One of my first jobs was worked as a congress hostess and also as a tourist translator. In 1992, I started to teach Italian as a foreign language for all levels, from beginners to advanced. I have taught one to one, groups and also full immersion lessons as requested. In the last few years, I have also taught children and young people using Skype. My certified Italian language teacher diploma is from the University of Siena ( Ditals I ) and from the University of Perugia ( DILS PG II ). I am registered in the professional register of teachers of Italian for foreigners known as APIDIS (Albo Professionale Insegnanti di Italiano )Mis clases y método de enseñanza
By using different teaching techniques, I help students to understand all aspects of the Italian language. I help students with the 4 major language skills: grammar, speaking, listening, and writing, all the while taking into account the needs or requirements of the student. As an adult learner I was hesitant to learn Italian online however learning a language was something I really wanted to do. I am delighted that I found Rosa. I feel supported and encouraged in my language adventure. Rosa has infinite patience and is well prepared for each lesson. Not only am I learning Italian but Rosa also provides me with a glimpse into Italy’s rich culture.

Rosaria is amazing. I feel so comfortable with her and she has given me so much confidence with the Italian language. I would highly recommend her, even though I didn’t before now as I was scared she’d get too booked up for me! 🤣. I now see a future of me speaking the language fluently (after 2 failed attempts with other teachers on Italki). Thank you Rosaria for your amazing teaching skills, patience and support.
