I have been a teacher for more than 15 years, and I have taught in Universities, secondary schools, primary schools and kindergartens. Alex is a fantastic teacher who truly understands what it means to learn, speak, and teach a language. He effortlessly makes you express things you have never before expressed in Spanish. He intuitively knows when to encourage you and let you speak fluently (or somehat fluently), and when to correct you. He is also a kind and fascinating human being, someone who is genuinely interesting to talk to (even though you usually end up being the one doing most the talking). I wholeheartedly recommend Alex to everyone (!) who is learning Spanish, but particularly—solely based on personal experience,—to “advanced”students whose goal is to speak Spanish “fluently.”

Wonderful first lesson with my 6 and 8 year old. Alex's energy carries well over the screen, he has great tools to help make language learning a visual as well as audio experience. My children really enjoyed it, and that says a lot for a first lesson with kids!

We have been taking classes with Alex for over 2 years. We have tried probably a dozen italki teachers in Spanish, French, and Chinese. The only one that we took classes from long-term is Alex. He is always cheerful and the kids made progress following his Spanish curriculum.
