I’m Phoenix, a university professor in Korea, as well as a husband and father. I’m here to help you improve your Korean and connect with learners from around the world—and beyond.
I’m also an outdoor enthusiast. I enjoy mountain biking, kayaking, and spending time outdoors with my dog, Lelle — walking, exercising, and training her. In my free time, I play the drums and bass, and I love reading.

Tengo un doctorado en Ingeniería Eléctrica por una de las mejores universidades de Corea del Sur y, en la actualidad, soy profesor titular a tiempo completo y me dedico a la docencia y la investigación en ingeniería eléctrica e informática.
Me gusta enseñar y conversar con personas de diferentes orígenes, por lo que estoy encantado de ser tu profesor.

I share my screen and type notes in real time during the lesson, so you can clearly follow along and review everything easily. After each class, I provide a PDF or TXT file along with voice recordings of key expressions to support your review.
I offer lessons focused on reading, speaking, and listening with basic grammar for beginners, and casual conversation for intermediate and advanced students. Absolute beginners are welcome—we can start with Hangul, pronunciation, or basic grammar.

I'm so happy to have found Phoenix to help me learn Korean! He is creative, kind and patient. He makes sure to give the student lots of room to practice and learn. He also allows you to work things out for yourself, instead of explaining it straight away and not letting you think.
