Welcome to my profile! My name is Alexander, although almost everyone calls me Ale, Alex, or sometimes Alessandra, since I like to wear makeup and sometimes people mistake it for being gay, when there are many people in show business who wear makeup and aren't gay. (Which is perfectly fine.) I'm 28 years old and I love meeting new people, that's why I'm a teacher on italki. I consider myself extroverted, a good friend, and faithful to my beliefs since I'm Catholic. I really enjoy learning through history books and movies. I like going to the gym, watching horror series and movies, and I love music. Finally, I also really enjoy talking about my culture and my Mexican roots.Mostrar idioma original

Como profesor, prefiero que mis alumnos me vean como un amigo, porque disfruto ayudando a la gente a aprender un idioma, ya sea por motivos académicos o por interés cultural. Sin embargo, como llevo mucho tiempo ayudando a la gente, a veces necesitan desahogarse o simplemente que alguien les escuche y les preste atención, así que no dudes en charlar conmigo si alguna vez te apetece, sin necesidad de estudiar mucho español. Por último, no te preocupes por el idioma. Hablo inglés bastante bien, así que estoy muy acostumbrado a hablar en ese idioma y no tanto en español. LOL... Mis clases y método de enseñanza
Mi método de enseñanza dependerá mucho de tu objetivo. Si quieres aprender desde cero, habrá mucho vocabulario, palabras nuevas, ejercicios, deberes para hacer después de clase, audios de comprensión, vídeos, entre otras cosas. Pero si lo que buscas es charlar, entonces no veremos ninguna regla gramatical y nos centraremos en una conversación normal. I had my first Spanish lesson with Alexander today, and I really enjoyed it. I've been wanting to practice speaking more, and he made the conversation feel natural and comfortable right from the start. He was very helpful and he always found something interesting to talk about, so there were no awkward pauses. Really looking forward to the next one

Alexander es un maestro muy divertido y el ayúdame much con my español. I needed to prepare for a job in Mexico and he came up with stories to help me learn vocabulary, role-played with me, and taught me many new words, history and culture of Mexico and so much more. I highly recommend Alexander as a teacher!

I thought that as an LGBT person I would be in good company with Alexander, who says he is openly gay and that as long as there is respect, anyone would be welcome in his classes. However, he declined to continue lessons with me because we had different opinions about LGBT rights. He spent a large portion of our trial lesson telling me that LGBT people don't have problems so there's no need to support our rights, that transgender people shouldn't make the government pay for their healthcare, and that children shouldn't be exposed to LGBT people. I found this extremely unprofessional and I feel like I was lectured and berated. I didn't have the chance to speak for the last 10 minutes of the lesson because Alexander spent the whole time telling me that my views and opinions are wrong. This was extremely disappointing and I'm honestly extremely sad. I was willing to continue taking lessons and talking about our differences, but Alexander refused to continue lessons with me.

Alexander was very patient, spoke english very well and helped me through basic Spanish as a total beginner. He had simple vocabulary exercises that we went though and I am excited to taking more lessons!
