I have been working with Andrea for 5 months now. He is so caring, patient, and supportive. He is also "present" 100% of the time in our lessons, for which I am always grateful. In the past 5 months, we went from having conversations that were maybe 10%-20% in Italian, to now where we have conversations 90% in Italian. Our time together is invaluable. The difference with Andrea is that we have "real" conversations, rather than a guided lesson. This allows me to learn useful vocabulary and speak Italian in the way that people actually speak it. He teaches me the nuances of the language, idiomatic expressions, and how to say what I actually want to say. We even build a list of flashcards together that help me enforce everything I learn. You can learn all you want from a book or a structured course, but in my opinion, learning with Andrea is the best possible way to truly learn the language. Thank you Andrea!

Another great lesson with my friend Andrea! It's been nearly 7 months since I started my italki journey and because of Andrea's help I'm now reading my second novel in Italian! Wow, I certainly wouldn't have thought it possible half a year ago when I couldn't speak a lick! But thanks to Andrea I've gone from being able to utter a few sentences to now doing full lessons in the language. Choosing Andrea as my Italian tutor has been a great decision for me. We spend our time in conversation. He is patient and has helped my abilities in Italian move along very well.
