Nessma Hassan

Nessma helps me so much to speak the Egyptian Arabic language and to really hone in on the concepts that I don't understand well so that I can make the correction and use the phrase or sentence structure correctly the next time. It has been such an amazing experience working with her for over a year. Her grace and understanding and patience when I sometimes ask her to explain the same concept over again is astounding. She understands English exceptionally well and always tries to convey what the Arabic meaning would be in English so that it can be contextualized for my understanding. She truly is the best Arabic teacher I've ever had and am so privileged that I can learn from her multiple times a week.

Nessma is a brilliant, engaging, well-organised and supportive teacher. Her English is perfect, and her learning resources are super helpful. I look forward to continuing my learning with her.

I took about 10 Arabic lessons with Nessma before going on vacation to Egypt. Nessma is an amazing teacher! She is kind, knowledgeable, helpful, and really goes above and beyond for her students. Nessma helped me to understand some new concepts about weather and the differences between weather in Egypt and in the US. She also helped me to speak about paintings in a museum and different concepts in regards to health subjects. She is very patient and understands and is very supportive when I have the need to repeat a concept or word I've already learned. I'm so grateful for her instruction and I'm learning so much. I am excited to continue with our lessons.

Nessma helped me to understand some phrases in regard to cooking and grilling food outdoors. She also helped me to understand the difference between American barbeque culture and having people over versus Egyptian culture, where barbeque parties are not so common. I also learned some helpful new phrases in regards to having interest for things like cooking and other hobbies. This lesson was super helpful, as Nessma's lessons always are. I feel so confident in my ability to speak Arabic now.
