Hola, soy Arifa de Trinidad y Tobago. Soy examinadora DELE titulada y profesora de español con experiencia para todas las edades (desde preescolar hasta adultos).
También soy profesora de inglés con experiencia en inglés comercial, escritura académica e inglés para niños.

Tenga en cuenta:
1. TODAS las clases terminan 5 minutos antes de la hora y si hay que asignar deberes nos tomaremos 3 -5 minutos antes de que termine la clase. Ej. Nuestra clase es de 8 - 9 am, terminamos a las 8:55, y si hay que asignar deberes se harán entre las 8:50 -8:55.

Yo como profesor
Como profesora, soy muy dinámica, ya que he enseñado a varios grupos de edad a lo largo de los años. Estoy, hasta cierto punto, orientada a los resultados y trabajo muy duro para ayudar a mis alumnos a alcanzar sus objetivos lingüísticos. La enseñanza ha forjado mi carácter y me ha permitido ver el mundo a través de los ojos de todos los alumnos que se han cruzado en mi camino. Creo que el aprendizaje debe ser permanente y holístico, por lo que intento transmitirlo a mis alumnos para que se centren en su viaje, su progreso y, por supuesto, en la consecución de sus objetivos a su debido tiempo. Mis clases siempre incluyen elementos de las cuatro destrezas principales: hablar, leer, escribir y escuchar. Suelo incorporar diversas herramientas para crear espacios de clase modernos, divertidos y estimulantes. También creo en la motivación de mis alumnos a lo largo de su trayectoria, ya sea a través de la gamificación, recordatorios frecuentes o simplemente adaptándome a sus necesidades. A menudo utilizo la gamificación, TPRS, TBL y fuentes auténticas para mis lecciones, ya que creo que el lenguaje nunca debe ser enseñado dentro de los límites de un libro de texto (aunque son guías útiles). Soy flexible a las necesidades de mis estudiantes y estoy en un constante proceso de innovación con mis lecciones.

I have specific experience with the Spanish speaking population so I am aware of many of their realities and some of the mistakes and difficulties that they tend to have when learning English.

Spanish InstructorI taught Spanish to elementary, middle and high school students during my time there. This taught me to differentiate in my classroom as well as to adapt my methods to the student at hand. I became quite skilled at using TPRS to boost fluency and communication in young children as well as to integrate various audiovisual materials to keep students engaged. Here I also became very familiar with this IB system and their curriculum plans.
