Excellent lesson looking at a recent German news story. Watching video clips helps me understand spoken German better and Ruth always helps explain the words that I do not understand.

Very competent!

We had a general conversation about the weather and the cost of electricity. We discussed how my teacher's apartment is heated on a communal system. Then we reviewed a video clip about an art work which was good listening practice and then we discussed it. I learned several new words. Again a very enjoyable lesson.

We talked a lot which is what I need with listening exercises too. Ruth is flexible, a pleasure to converse with and provides useful feedback.

We talked in German about people, who for us have been mentors. We reviewed a film clip, without the sound, and I had to answer questions that Ruth had given me about the clip. This made me pay close attention to what I could see in the clip and then I had to use my German to answer the questions. Ruth is sending me homework on relativsätze which we will review next week. I find Ruth's lessons are helping me to speak more German and they introduce new vocabulary every time.
