Ruth

I have reached a stage in my German learning where having a conversation in German is really important as it flags up vocabulary that I do not know and any grammar errors. Thus my lessons with Ruth have become very conversational in style and so unstructured. Ruth usually gives me written feedback and a few things to correct after my lesson, which is very helpful. For me, as a self-motivated, self-directed adult learner, Ruth's lessons are really enjoyable and promote further learning. My aim in learning German is to be able to have conversations with my German friends and other German speaking people that I meet so this way of learning is very suited to me.

I have definitely learned something new. It was so much worth spending the time and money. I want to continue!

We had a great conversation, in which I tried to say new things in German. While doing so I made the inevitable errors, upon which Ruth gave me feedback. She wrote out sentences, that I had said, that were nearly correct, for me to review and correct. We looked at a video of a well known German chat show host from the 1980's for me to try and understand what he was saying and then discuss what he had said. Overall a really useful and enjoyable lesson.

Erste Eindruck ist sehr positiv. Alles war nett und interessant. Ich kann diese Lehrerin wirklich empfehlen. I can definitely recommend to study with this teacher.

I really love my lessons with Ruth because she challenges you in a way that is not too difficult but you can learn from it. She also tailors the lessons to your interest, which I find very enjoyable!
