Mia老师 is a very good tutor, I would certainly recommend her. She adapts to the student’s interest, hobbies and goals; she lets speak and make mistakes and also good at positive reinforcement, so every lesson feels cozy). It’s also very convenient to get examples from English or Russian, so the clarity of explanations way better than even my uni’s teachers! Всем рекомендую Mia老师. Mia is a fantastic teacher! I started with no prior knowledge of Mandarin and after our first lesson felt confident that I would be able to learn the language. From the beginning, she asked what my goals were and tailored our lessons to align with them. She uses a variety of supplemental materials that keep lessons and homework interesting and fun and they often lead to learning a bit about Chinese culture as well. She is great at keeping a good pace of covering new material. She is always teaching new concepts, but makes sure not to continue at a pace that is overwhelming. She has a strong focus on fundamentals that I find extremely helpful as a beginner. I often ask about comparisons to English as a reference to help me learn or remember. Because Mia is very knowledgeable about English and Chinese, she can always quickly offer a comparison or explain that there isn't a comparable concept in English. I'm looking forward to continue my lessons with Mia and work toward my goals!
