Mia老师 is a very good tutor, I would certainly recommend her. She adapts to the student’s interest, hobbies and goals; she lets speak and make mistakes and also good at positive reinforcement, so every lesson feels cozy). It’s also very convenient to get examples from English or Russian, so the clarity of explanations way better than even my uni’s teachers! Всем рекомендую Mia老师. Она адаптируется к интересам, хобби и целям ученика; она позволяет говорить и делать ошибки, что подкрепляется ее умением давать положительное подкрепление, поэтому каждый урок чувствуется уютным!) Крайне удобно получать аналогии из английского и русского, что несомненно влияет на то, что объяснения даются легко и непринужденно.

The lessons with Mia are always very dynamic. She has the talent and the patience to guide you through the content and make sure you aprehend the key points. That makes the lessons feel very light and amusing. Very well recommended!

She patiently helps you to understand the topic of the lesson, using texts, educational videos, songs, latest news. You will learn the language and get to know the Chinese culture at the same time. Mia is a fantastic teacher! I started with no prior knowledge of Mandarin and after our first lesson felt confident that I would be able to learn the language. From the beginning, she asked what my goals were and tailored our lessons to align with them. She uses a variety of supplemental materials that keep lessons and homework interesting and fun and they often lead to learning a bit about Chinese culture as well. She is great at keeping a good pace of covering new material. She is always teaching new concepts, but makes sure not to continue at a pace that is overwhelming. She has a strong focus on fundamentals that I find extremely helpful as a beginner. I often ask about comparisons to English as a reference to help me learn or remember. Because Mia is very knowledgeable about English and Chinese, she can always quickly offer a comparison or explain that there isn't a comparable concept in English. I'm looking forward to continue my lessons with Mia and work toward my goals!
