Me llamo Nguyen The Vu, nací en Vietnam y he vivido en Vietnam toda mi vida. Ahora vivo en la ciudad de Vung Tau, una ciudad costera cerca de la ciudad de Ho Chi Minh, al sur de Vietnam. Me encantan los idiomas y llevo más de diez años trabajando como profesora de vietnamita en línea. Enseñar idiomas es mi actividad más feliz, ya que puedo conocer a gente de todo el mundo y compartir con ellos mis conocimientos sobre la lengua, la cultura y la historia vietnamitas. Me siento muy agradecida a todos mis alumnos, que me han ayudado a ser cada vez mejor profesora a lo largo de todo este tiempo. Aunque antes de enseñar vietnamita en línea, había sido profesora de inglés en Vietnam durante casi diez años. Pero enseñar en línea ha sido una experiencia muy diferente y hay que tener tiempo para acostumbrarse. Gracias a italki, que ha reunido a profesores y estudiantes de todo el mundo, muchos estudiantes de todo el mundo han acudido a mí y me han dado muchos consejos y comentarios sobre la enseñanza de vietnamita en línea y lo que los estudiantes necesitan, cómo llevar a cabo las mejores lecciones para adaptarse a diferentes personas de todo el mundo. Creo que la mejor manera de que los estudiantes aprendan vietnamita son las clases prácticas en el idioma vietnamita de inmediato. Then I have been an online teacher for Vietnamese language up to now.

Teaching Vietnamese language to people from the world and sharing my knowledge about Vietnamese history, culture and language are the most happy activities for me. Many of my students have come to Vietnam and we have been travelling around together, speaking Vietnamese language and enjoying Vietnam.

Vu's lesson today was very good. We focused on talking about the weather and the differences between driving in weather between US and Vietnam. Even if I wasn't able to put together all the details quite fast enough, Vu was very good with helping me along so we could keep the conversation going. He is very polite and helps exactly when you have something to say.

I love learning Vietnamese with Vu. Learning about the beautiful traditions and culture in Vietnam makes me feel so happy. I had the opportunity to speak with one of Vu's friends, who only speaks vietnamese. I was nervous at first and made some mistakes. But quickly, I felt more comfortable and was able to speak more naturally. The man was very friendly and patient. Soon we were able to talk about celebrating Tet and travelling to Vietnam!
