Another great lesson with Julio! As always, he is patient, encouraging, positive, and fun to talk to. :) When I first started, I was so nervous speaking Spanish and kept second-guessing myself. But Julio made me feel comfortable and created a space where I wasn’t afraid to make mistakes, and that has made all the difference. Learning a language is a long, continuous journey, but Julio will be there with you every step of the way, motivating you, supporting your growth, and helping your knowledge and abilities truly flourish. I recommend him every chance I get when someone says they want to take Spanish lessons. I have been doing a weekly lesson with Julio for some time now and have noted exceptional progress in conversation abilities. I am a lifelong learner of Spanish and was very much struggling to feel comfortable speaking in more profound everyday conversations. Julio has done a wonderful job of pinpointing my areas for improvement in Spanish. The feedback is insightful and he has tricks to help remember them too. One of my favorite aspects of his classes is that he is patient and allows you to self-correct. This is incredibly helpful for an intermediate level speaker who might need extra time to figure out how to put to practice what they’ve already learned.

What makes Julio stand out from other teachers I've worked with is his attentiveness and ease. He is so good at being fully present in the conversation, while simultaneously collecting notes on constructive feedback to follow up on later. I learn something new every time, and always come away from our sessions thoughtful and inspired to dive into my language learning routine the rest of the week.

I take Julio’s classes to practice Spanish that I use in my job, but also to improve regular conversation skills and learn more about the culture. After every lesson, I feel like I’ve learned a semester’s worth of Spanish. After receiving my DELE B1 certificate in 2021, I felt that my Spanish was stuck at that level, but I finally feel I’m making great improvements. ¡Muchísimas gracias!
