Coral Wang

Coral is very skilled teacher and linguist. From the beginning I stated that I would like to focus on daily conversation. For this reason the lesson focusses on Mandarin conversation, even though I am only at HSK 2 level. It takes a lot of skill and patience on Coral's part to have a conversation with me, but she is happy to listen and guide. Because she is very skilled at English and Mandarin she is able to help me out with translation from English to Mandarin if I ask for help, but she lets me try my best to find a way to express myself in Mandarin. Coral's teaching and language skills and bright and positive personality transform the lesson into a very fruitful and enjoyable learning experience. I highly recommend Coral as a Mandarin teacher.

Coral is the best teacher, she is very patient, she helps each time when I need her support. You can ask her for some cultural things and she will explain to you with a lot of details. Highly recommend 👌🤩

Another great lesson with Coral. We have mostly been talking about whatever comes about that day. I use my best Mandarin and if stuck, which is like 90% of the time, she would provide me with the words I need. When my grammar is not so good, Coral would give me the correct way to say what I wanted to say and I'd repeat the sentence again. With my 45 min, we've been free chatting the first 30 min and then we'd go over HSK grammar for the last 15 min or so. I like this format because I am a self study person (SuperChinese + DuChinese + Hanly) + iTalki and the 15 min gives me time to focus on one or two grammar structures. Coral is extremely patience. Coral mostly speaks in Mandarin but by now she knows how much I can understand so if it's a new concept, she explains in English to make sure I understand.
