Teacher Julian

Julian is a wonderful teacher! I can see that she cares about student's success and she also makes you feel very comfortable during a lesson, encouraging and supporting you. I'm definetely going to reccomend her lessons to everybody!

Julian is a very kind and helpful teacher. She comes up with different kind of questions and encourage you to explain things for a more engaging conversation. I am looking forward to having our new lesson.

She made prejudiced comments about my nationality, saying things like “you Russian guys are rude and scary.” She did not even try to understand who I am as an individual. I live in Spain, my father is Cuban, and my background is more complex than the stereotype she projected onto me. The lessons were also not professionally useful. They mostly became casual conversations with almost no correction of my English, so I felt I was reinforcing my mistakes rather than improving. On top of that, she made personal comments about how unpleasant it was to talk to me and mocked the fact that I speak slowly or need time to think. This is completely unacceptable for a language teacher. A student should feel safe to speak, make mistakes, think, and receive respectful correction. I cannot recommend this teacher.

Excellent teacher. We had a great class. She is very professional, making the class relaxing and facilitating communication patiently.
