I've been working with Alisa for several years and she is one of the best teachers I've found on iTalki. We mainly engage in conversational practice. Alisa has an amazing ability to structure conversations so that they feel completely natural and effortless, interjecting at just the right places to make corrections without ruining the flow of the conversation but often enough to provide useful feedback. She is very patient, professional, and constructive. In addition, we have worked on reading and translating advanced texts. These lessons have been so amazing because we not only learn about the Russian language; the lessons are just as much about Russian literature, history, philosophy, and culture -- and often, by discussing those topics in Russian, the conversation spontaneously rises to a higher level and it's as if progress is being made effortlessly. Alisa is a very special teacher and I strongly recommend to anyone interested in learning Russian.

Алиса спокойная, терпеливая и весёлая преподавательница.

Not only a teacher, but also a friend.
