With 16+ years of experience, I specialize in making Russian feel natural—whether you’re chatting, dissecting true crime documentaries, or singing along to Russian rock. As a certified English teacher (trained in the UK!), I also help students unlock fluency through their passions—films, travel, or even solving crimes together. I've been teaching Russian and English for 16 years now. It's my full-time job and I'm interested in long term students. I love helping students learn and become more confident in speaking the languages. I teach both beginners and advanced learners, children (10 years old and older) and adults.

If you need to learn Russian or English for communication, for travelling, want to understand songs, films, TV series or read books, I’ll be really glad to help you! I have custom-tailored lessons where we can work with songs, films, Youtube videos, including videos of interrogations, for example, or try to solve the most puzzling of crimes, if you’re interested in true crime just like I am.Mis clases y método de enseñanza
I'll do my best to help you master your language skills and answer any questions regarding our culture and traditions. Each lesson is tailored to my students' goals and interests, so let me know what you're comfortable with. I don't prepare students for any kinds of exams at the moment.

Amazing lesson with Ekaterina as always. I believe she's one of the best tutors on italki, if not the best, and probably outside of italki as well. It's amazing that she can explain things well in English when I have difficulty understanding a concept. She explains them so well in English that sometimes I think she's the native English speaker and not me! I'm shocked she doesn't have tons more bookings for English. I highly recommend her for anyone who is looking for a Russian or English tutor! Спасибо за отличный урок!

I can't say enough good things about Katya. She goes above and beyond for her students. She is the best, her lessons really get you thinking in Russian about topics you might not have experience talking about. She is kind with her corrections and makes the whole experience easy especially if you get anxious when speaking in your target language.
