Zoraida Tarazona

Me gustan mucho las clases. Zoraida prepara las clases con mucha diligencia. Cada clase viene con diapositivas con un tema, ejercicios, juegos de roles, expresiones y mucho más. Estamos practicando más que un año y todavía es divertido y educativo.

Another wonderfully fun and useful class with Zoraida. We discussed natural phases to when telling and receiving gossip- a very practical skill to have in all sorts of settings. She created realistic role play scenarios and guided conversations to put into practice the phrases. She also incorporated practice of the verbs with prepositions than we reviewed in the prior classes to continue to reinforce those concepts. A++ quality, as always!

Had a great lesson with Zoraida again today. She always creates a comfortable learning environment and it’s easy to talk about the learning material and also daily life as she gives me a lot of confidence

I asked Zoraida last week if we could practice with the prepositions that accompany verbs (a, de, con, por, para, etc.). It is always a challenge for me to remember which prepositions go with which verbs because some match the English preposition and others are quite different (for example, tropezar con). I wanted repetition so that I could commit them to memory and choose the correct one automatically when speaking. Zoraida designed a personalized class presenting the verbs grouped by preposition and then we practiced using different conversational scenarios and telling stories incorporating the verb and correct preposition. The activities were very useful and well-designed. I look forward to continuing the practice next class.
